Hedda Close Read Groups

In pairs, investigate, organize, and on Monday present your close reading of one scene from Hedda Gabler to the class.

Your investigation and ideas should include:

· Connection to our Semester’s Essential Question

· Explore Ibsen’s craft and technique (use Caffin’s guide for inspiration)

· Identify important literary elements (dramatic irony, foreshadowing, breaking the 4th wall, neo-realism, etc)

· Connection to our Thematic Brainstorm (or additions to it)

· 2-3 open-ended discussion questions for class
